Sorry, it's been a very long time. I'm a terrible blogger. I've been in OKC for 3 weeks now and it's been great! I had 2 job interviews within the first 2 weeks and while they went well, they just weren't good fits for me. Last week I interviewed with the company I worked for in Louisiana (Just a different affiliate) and it went great and I start tomorrow! The fiance and I celebrated my victory in getting the job by going to Red Robin and wandering around the mall and getting candy. I love having someone to celebrate things with!
My first weekend here I went to Dallas with Philip's sister and my sister's best friend Renee for Leanne's baby shower. It's great being close to
Leanne and Jarrod especially with her being pregnant! My Aunt Pam made the trip for the shower and it was great seeing all of Leanne's friends. They've always treated me so well and I feel like I'm a part of the family!
The next weekend we went to OSU for Homecoming weekend. Philip went there and had a couple friends there, and he wanted to show me around. We went to Walkaround and saw all the murals the sororities and fraternities made. It was fun seeing where he went to school, but it made me miss my school and my roommates (thankfully I should be seeing some of them at Thanksgiving!).
This weekend was the
3 Day! Unfortunately, Philip's grandmother passed away this week and his sister and mother who were planning on walking had to attend the funeral. I was so torn about where I needed to be this weekend. Philip was so incredible to attend
John's funeral with me in Louisiana a few months ago, and the Boone's have welcomed me into their family so warmly, but thankfully Philip made my decision easy by telling me he knew how important the 3Day was to me and to go to that. My dad registered this year and it was his first walk! Since my sister and I walk in memory of his mother, it was exciting to share the experience with him. Leanne's sister-in-law walked for the first time, too, so the four of us had a great time! It was fun, emotional, painful, frustrating, exciting, overwhelming, and incredibly rewarding. Just like every year. And I can't wait to sign up for next year! My dad and Jessica did awesome, and even 7-month pregnant Leanne rocked it! Philip made it on Day 3 for the cheering stations and closing ceremonies!

Tomorrow I start my first day of work and I'm excited to finally have some routine! I'd like to say that my traveling is over for a little bit, but we'll be heading to Tulsa for a few hours this weekend for our engagement shots with our awesome photographer,
Carrie, and in a few short weeks we'll be flying to Jersey to spend Thanksgiving with my family. I'm LOVING seeing all my friends and family, but I would love a few relaxing weeks at home with the fiance! Last night when we were driving back to OKC I couldn't believe how excited I was to see our neighborhood. It was nice to feel like I was coming back home :-)
