Day 5 of 30 random things!
What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
1. My husband. He makes me laugh a lot, he tells me how much he cares about me on a very regular basis, we have fun together... I love coming home to him every night. Sometimes marriage is hard, and the first year is tough, but honestly, a lot of the time it just feels like being with my best friend every day and having fun. Philip doesn't take himself too seriously, and sometimes I really need that. I'm really excited about the rest of my life with him.
2. My in-laws. They rock. I don't know if anyone in the world ever had better in-laws than the Boones. We have dinner with them when we can, we see them on Sundays at church, it's great. They invited my sister into their family a long time ago, and I'm glad they did the same for me. Plus, my sister in law's having a baby soon, and once he gets here, that family will be perfect. :-)
3. My nephew. He's awesome. It does not make me happy that I don't get to see him every day, but I have pictures of him everywhere. On my desktop background at work, on my desktop background at home, on my phone, on my desk, on our wall, on our fridge... Philip makes fun of me because I turn on my phone sometimes and say "Oh, hey Wesley!" I can't help it. He's stinking adorable and I can't wait to watch him grow up.
4. My cats. Charlie and Sookie have their own voices that I make for them. Call me crazy, but the things Charlie and Sookie have to say bring us a lot of entertainment. They're like little comedians. Even without me talking for them, they're just funny cats. It also makes me happy that I married a man who not only likes my cats and doesn't make fun of me for talking for them, he responds to them.
5. My AWESOME grades. I was never a bad student, but the first time around in college, I could have worked a lot harder than I did. But it was college, and there was more to the experience than perfect grades. I am proud of my grades the first time around, and I'm happy for every experience I had. This time, the classes are the only thing, so I put all my energy into them. With a 98.7% in one class and a 98.5% in the other, I'm really glad with how it's going. Plus, it gives me the satisfaction of knowing that this is the right direction for me. I LOVE reading my books for these classes because it really interests me. The fact that I'm doing well makes it even better.
