Day 24 of 30 random things!
Describe your family dynamic of your childhood vs. your family dynamic now.
I've discussed my family a lot in this adventure of 30 days, so you already know that it wasn't an ideal family dynamic. When I was a kid, there was a lot of anger and bitterness in my family. That is definitely NOT to say that I had an unhappy childhood. I knew my parents loved me, I was taken care of, I had everything I ever wanted. But we weren't in a harmonious living situation by any means. As we got older, we separated a lot. There were a lot of grudges held by us as individuals, and I think my sister and I thought the best way to not repeat the mistakes of our childhood was to be independent and not count on anyone else (I'm speaking for my sister, she may not actually feel that way). Thankfully, we've learned on our own that families can function differently than how we grew up. And thankfully, our parents have ALWAYS been there for us. So, our family dynamic is different. We are all independently happy and can still have relationships with each other.
