Aunt Courtney

Yes, that's right.  I am now an official aunt.  I've been Aunt Courtney to lots of kids, but this time I'm a real aunt.  I know, being an aunt is, like, totally a lot of work...

The truth is, my sister is a freaking ROCKSTAR.  She went the all natural route.  No drugs at all.  Several months ago she asked me to be in the delivery room with her and my brother-in-law.  So last night I got a call at 2:30am that if I wanted to be there, I better leave now.  So I drove the 3 and a half hours to get there.  I made it JUST in time to watch Leanne ROCK natural child birth.  It was so exciting to be one of the first people to see Baby Wesley Daniel make his debut.  They also decided to wait to find out what the sex was until he/she came, so there was the added excitement of not knowing until he came out!

Wesley Daniel, most likely thinking that, so far, life is really exhausting.

Wesley is the most gorgeous baby I've ever seen.  He's got an awesome full head of dark curly hair, and he's got his mama's nose.  I was bummed to only get to be there for a few hours, but I'll be seeing a lot more of him, I'm sure, hopefully soon.
